Plastic Grocery Bags: Hy-Vee, Wal-Mart, JCPenny, Goodwill, and Super Saver. Drop off bins near front doors.


Compact Fluorescent Bulbs: (small spiral type) Unbroken CFL bulbs are accepted at Loup Public Power District Office and Keep Columbus Beautiful Office.


Used Oil: (Call for hours and quantities. Only uncontaminated used oil is accepted.)

Green Fiber accepts phone books, office paper, newspapers, cereal and Kleenex boxes, cardboard, pop and beer boxes, and magazines.

Cell Phones can be recycled at the Keep Columbus Beautiful Office, Center for Survivors, and at US Cellular.


Hearing Aids are recycled by the Columbus Sertoma Club. Please contact Rich at 402-564-3362 for drop off location.


Glasses or Eyewear can be recycled with the Columbus Noon Lions Club. Contact David Melick at 402-563-7000.


Mercury is accepted at the Keep Columbus Beautiful Office.
